Nursery Tips from Bonnie

Note: This is an unofficial guide from community member Bonnie Stanford.

The Nursery is set up to be a source of inventory, not just something you quickly complete.
You should always be growing or regrowing seeds. This builds your inventory and earns Grow 10 achievements, which are the best way to fill in the elusive epic and legendary seeds.
Every Grow 10 achievement guarantees a seed you’ve never grown before
This makes them especially valuable for Epic and Legendary seeds
Small plants are ideal as they take the least water to grow. The water needed for growing each plant is as follows:
Small takes 7 water
Medium takes 9 water
Large takes 11 water
Epic and Legendary seeds are very limited, and you can only request them once a month during the Seed Pack Party. There’s not a lot of spare seeds for them, so you might not get lucky.
Finishing the Regions
Important: If you have locked regions, new ones open when you grow 10 unique seeds (plants that you have never grown before).
If you want to delay unlocking new regions:
Focus on regrowing seeds you already have
Regrown seeds still count toward Grow 10 achievements
You control when new regions open by choosing when to grow new seeds
Tip 1: Try to Earn Rare+ Collection Boxes
Rare+ boxes only contain Rare, Epic, and Legendary seeds, making them more useful.
You can earn:
Uncommon+ boxes: Complete 3 challenges on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday
Rare+ boxes: Complete 4 challenges on Sunday
Tip 2: Maximize Grow 10 Achievements
Focus on growing as many seeds as possible to maximize your Grow 10 achievements.
Grow plants you actually use in designs to save diamonds
Prioritize small plants to conserve water
Grow 10 achievements stack, even if only one shows at a time
When you claim one, the next triggers automatically
Save Grow 10 achievements for when you only need Epic or Legendary seeds
Tip 3: Ask Friends for Common, Uncommon, or Rare Seeds
If you’re missing lower-tier seeds:
Ask your in-game friends first
If you still need help and have room (max 100 friends), post in the Facebook Group and make new friends.
Tip 4: Save Epic & Legendary Seeds for Seed Pack Party
If you have extra Epic or Legendary seeds, hold onto them.
Once a month, there’s a one-day Seed Pack Party where:
You can request Epic or Legendary seeds
You may give up to 5 seeds and receive 1
You can only make one request that day
Follow the Garden Joy Facebook page for early announcements of the next Seed Pack Party
Arrange trades in advance before locking in your request
Completing 4 challenges that day earns a Rare+
Even during this event, Grow 10 achievements are still your most reliable source for Epic and Legendary seeds.
Tip 5: When New Regions Open
Once you finish older regions and unlock new ones:
Claim any seed gifts from Garden Joy
Buy any special deals you want
Claim your Grow 10s only when you need Epic or Legendary seeds
Final Notes on Random Seeds
All of the in-game options to trade seeds offer a random seed and you have no choice of what region it will be from. You may even receive a seed you traded away. Trading is usually inefficient compared to growing for Grow 10s or helping friends
Avoid buying random seeds, unless:
You just want small plants for Grow 10 progress
You have extra coins and want to try the 3 seeds for 12,500 coins deal
With hundreds of seeds in the nursery, your odds are low unless you’re brand new. In most cases, patience, friends, and Grow 10 achievements are the better strategy.
