New Player Quick Start Guide 🌿

Welcome to Garden Joy! The relaxing design game where you can bring your dream outdoor space to life.

Before you jump into designing, here are three important things to know as a new player.

1️⃣ Save your Progress, Link your Account

Before you start designing, make sure your account is linked using one of the following options so that you can save progress, even if you change or lose your phone.

How to Link Your Account

Tap the Profile icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Tap the Settings gear in the top corner.
Tap Sign In and follow the prompts.

You can link your account using:

Facebook on any device (Recommended)
Linking with Facebook is the easiest way to access your game across devices.
Google Play on Android devices
Apple ID on iOS devices

NOTICE: If your account is not linked and you use a different phone, or redownload the app, it may be difficult to restore access to your game.

If you ever run into account issues or need help accessing your game, you can chat with our Support Team by:

Open Settings in the Garden Joy app.
Scroll down and tap Support, Need Help?
Select Chat with Us to contact our support team.

2️⃣ Customize Your Profile

Your profile is where you can see all your designs and find your message inbox.

From here, you can personalize your designer name and photo.

How to Access Your Profile

Tap the Profile icon in the bottom right corner of the game.

From here you can:

View your submitted designs
Check your Inbox messages
Change your Designer Name, Photo, and Title

Changing Your Designer Name

Tap your current Designer Name at the top of the profile page.
Enter your new name.
Tap Save.

Designer names must:

Be 3–15 characters
Use letters and numbers only

3️⃣ Understanding Challenge Requirements

Challenges are the heart of Garden Joy! This is where you can let your creativity run wild, but there are still some rules when designing.

Challenge Icons

You’ll see two types of icons while designing:

Teal Icons – Mandatory

These must be completed before you can submit your design.
There will always be items available to purchase with coins (standard game currency) as well as diamond (premium game currency) options.

Pink Icons – Optional

These are not required but adding them can help make a space feel more full and cohesive.
These items will be available in the shop for diamonds (premium game currency).

Challenge Requirements

Many challenges include special Requirements which must be included in your design.

You can check Requirements while designing:

Tap the requirements button to requirements needed in the design. (If there is no requirements button, then no special requirements are needed)

Tap on a Requirement to see what items are available in your inventory or in the shop. (Please note, if you tap a different challenge icon or change the filters in the stage, you may not see the items that fit the Requirement)
